We are seeking highly motivated and well-trained Postdoctoral Candidates and Connecticut-licensed CBT-oriented psychologists to apply for positions in our expanding group practice serving children, adolescents, and adults. Therapeutic modalities include, but are not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness/acceptance based behavioral therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). CBT Westport is a collegial and friendly working environment, directed by Dr. Annalise Caron and Dr. Suzanne Allen.
STAFF PSYCHOLOGIST applicants should be CT Licensed (or CT license eligible) with definitive training in CBT and at least 2 years supervised experience providing CBT specifically to children and families. Additional evidence-based therapy training with adults or children is a plus (e.g., DBT/ACT). Opportunities exist for weekly CBT case consultation, peer supervision, additional training in CBT, and opportunities to provide CBT training in the community, if desired. Compensation is competitive with additional performance incentives.
POSTDOCTORAL CANDIDATES must have a degree from an APA-accredited Ph.D./Psy.D. program in clinical psychology and an APA-approved internship in clinical psychology, as well as previous child/adolescent experience and training in CBT. In addition to 2 hours of weekly individual supervision per week, the postdoctoral fellow will have weekly group supervision, weekly CBT case consultation, and additional training. In addition, fellows will have the opportunity to be considered for a position as a staff psychologist following their postdoctoral year. Deadline for applications: December 18, 2017.
Interested applicants should email the following materials to Dr. Annalise Caron: a) a cover letter detailing your experience and training in evidence-based therapies, and your specific interest/fit with our practice, b) your curriculum vitae, c) a list of 3 professional references with email and phone contact information, d) additional formal letters of recommendation are welcome (from the references above or others), but not immediately required to apply. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, with the deadline for submission (for the postdoctoral fellowship) being December 18, 2017, and the staff position being rolling until filled.
